TCA Celebrates Mississauga Restaurant Stars
A slew of Mississauga eateries have been singled out as excellent on the annual Top Choice Awards inventory. The TCA recognizes those local and international businesses around the world that area research and democratic polling have revealed to be outstanding in their field. In all, more than 40 Mississauga businesses were recognized by the TCA’s prestigious list, among them eight restaurants. They are:
• Chinese Restaurant: Goldenview Chinese Restaurant
This Falconer Drive institution has served Cantonese- and Szechuan-style grub for more than two decades.
• Mexican Restaurant: Quesada Mexican Grill
The Dixie Rd. location of this franchised crowd pleaser is your best bet if you’re craving south-of-the-border yummies.
• Japanese (Sushi) Restaurant: Kanda Japanese Restaurant
Kanda’s celebrated for its consistently excellent service of authentic Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese cuisine.
• Italian Restaurant: Il Porcellino
The Tucci family, owners of this sweet gem, has been cooking homestyle southern Italian cuisine here since 1996.
• Gelateria: Amici Cafe & Gelateria
This family-run Port Credit standard serves only homemade gelato, in a range of ever-changing flavours.
• Pizzeria: Luca Pizza
This much-celebrated pizzeria has been a tradition since the Luca brothers opened their East Mississauga eatery in 1975, committing to premium ingredients from the start.
• Portuguese Restaurant: Mario’s BBQ
This longstanding family-owned staple prepares traditional Portuguese cuisine for dining in or take-out.
• Sandwich Shop: Alliston Meat & Delicatessen
This humble retail butcher on Bloor St. is your best bet if you’re craving a hefty stack of cold meat on a bun.
